SEMO - New Student Housing II

This project is a 4 story new construction housing facility with an approximate area of 82,000 sq.ft. located on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University, in Cape Girardeau MO. This new resident hall will be a state of the art facility that will hold 262 student with common areas and academic support spaces in addition to the students personal rooms.

International Design Services\\\' scope includes structural & misc. steel detailing of all columns, beams, perimeter angle, vertical bracing, mechanical openings, joist fillers, embed plates, lintels, bollards. IDS\\\'s scope also included value engineering and  review of vertical bracing in this high seismic design zone and ensuring the details reflect the \\\"protected zones\\\" on the vertical braces . Shop drawings were provide in AutoCAD, per fabricators preference. Approximate tonnage calculated at 400 tons of structural steel with a duration of 7 weeks for approval.
