This project is for the Carbo Ceramic Screen Building Modification located in Eufaula, AL. This is a retrofit project where an additional (3) level structure is built adjacent to an existing building. International Design Services, Inc. scope of work included the engineering connection design of the vertical and horizontal bracing and steelwork detailing for the main structural steel members and miscellaneous items. The structural & miscellaneous members consists of, embeds, columns, beams, trusses, bracing, stairs, handrails, bollards, edge material of the building and all miscellaneous items shown on the architectural drawings. TeklaStructures software was used to construct the 3D model and which also helps to detect any potential interference with the steel members coming from the existing structure.
