Gotham West-Building B & C
Project Name:
Date: Aug-2011
Project Status: Ongoing
Location: New York, NY
Tonnage: 552
Fabricator: Owen Steel

This project, located in New York City is for two new Gotham West Residential high rise buildings.  IDS’ scope includes detailing the structural steel.  The structural steel detailing consists of wide flange members, including both moment and shear connections.  Also there was extensive connection design required on this project.  There are jumbo size members in the Building C basement to support the weight of the building going up.  After the lower level most of the steel is for lintels and framing around the elevator.  IDS utilized experienced Tekla Detailers to model this project.  This allows for better coordination with other trades and allows our customer to share our model for this coordination.  IDS detailed in specific sequences to allow for a steady flow of shop drawings to the shop for fabrication.
