Legacy Christian Church
Project Name:
Date: Jun-2011
Project Status: Completed
Location: Overland Park, KS
Tonnage: 85
Fabricator: Doing Steel

This project is a renovation of a single level structure with a building area of approximately 30,000 square feet which originally was a grocery store. The renovation modified the existing structure to become a church. The addition of the high roof framings at the Base Option and Option A areas were the main modifications to the original structure. IDS’s scope was to furnish the details of structural and miscellaneous steel particularly columns, beams, wall support angles, RTU support frames, roof screen support channels and bracing, partition support posts and angles, perimeter angles at floor deck, roof screen girts, wall mounted & stair rails, roof access & cross over ladders and stairs.  Through detailed coordination with the erector and the field we were able to minimize field fixes due to the existing conditions.  Detailing was done using Tekla which allowed for easy use of the model to communicate field conditions as well as providing all data files for our customer’s fabrication equipment.
