Project Status: Ongoing
Location: Memphis, TN
Tonnage: 350

This FedEx facility project located at Memphis International Airport has an approximate area of 37, 500 sq. ft.  The project consists of 3 structures, the largest being 31,000 sqft. IDS's scopes includes, detailing anchor bolts, embeds, main structural steel members, stairs and stair rails. The connection design was also included in IDS's scope, in which IDS developed shear connections, vertical brace connections, and moment connections. The connection design calculations were submitted signed and sealed by a licensed professional engineer in the state of Tennessee.

The structure also has a total of five stairs, 2 exit stairs, 1 main stair, and 2 monumental stairs.  The 2 monumental stairs are the main stairs that give access to the bridge.  These are constructed with (3) W18x50 stringers 12'-6 wide x 50'-0 in length with (2) intermediate landings.  IDS's experienced steel detailers utilized AutoCAD to produce the steel shop drawings for this project.

As of August of 2011, the erection of the project had started.
