This project, located in Garden City, Kansas is a new High School and Concession Building. IDS scope includes the structural steel detailing and other miscellaneous items. The structural steel consisted of wide flange beams and columns, HSS members, and various angle frames to support the RTUs and exterior facade. The miscellaneous items include the stairs, a spiral stair, handrails, galvanized loose lintels, and exterior railing. IDS scope also includes performing the stair design and connection design on the job. Included in the stair design is the signing and sealing of the stair and stair handrail shop drawings by a licensed professional engineer in the state of Kansas. We detailed this job in Tekla structures to allow for excellent coordination with the other trades as well as providing necessary data files for our customer. Coordination with the joists, metal panel details, roof top units, and various door manufacturers was required on this job. IDS experienced steel detailers allow for fast and efficient coordination with all trades. IDS began this project in early 2010. Fabrication and erection of the concession building is ongoing as the last and final step of the job. |
